Trauma comes in many forms and can deeply impact how we think, feel, and function as well as our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Using a person-centered approach, I hold space for my clients to reflect and process, leveraging their own strengths and insight to heal and grow in the wake of traumatic life experience. Together we explore a combination of bottom-up and top-down therapies to support processing past experiences for a healthier present and future. I employ an integrative theoretical orientation with emphasis on humanistic psychology, psychodynamics, systems and neurodevelopmental theories.
Graduating from Case Western Reserve University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, I earned certifications in trauma-informed practice and the neurosequential model of therapeutics, and I’m EMDR trained. My past experience includes community mental health and psychotherapy, working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also engage in research activity with colleagues from CWRU, working on literature related to ASD caregiver burden and restorative justice in cases of intimate partner violence.
