Sheron Maddox

    I began my journey into Wellness in 2009.  What started this process in my life was a strong desire to feel good in my own physical body.  I was an over-the-road truck driver at this time and I was experiencing many aches and pains, and overall wasn’t feeling well.  I decided to look into massage and Reiki.  I had heard good things about them both.  I immediately scheduled my appointments!  Afterward, I felt such a difference in my physical, spiritual, and emotional bodies!  I hadn’t felt this since my young adult years.  I then decided that I wanted to learn more about these modalities and enrolled myself in an Ethical Massage School and a Level 1 Reiki class.  I fell in love with them both.  Reiki was my absolute favorite.  So much so that I decided to go to one of the highest levels, Karuna Reiki.  Karuna Reiki means “an action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others.”  I found both of these modalities very potent, valuable tools for and in my own life, so much so that I decided to share my tools, which I now see as blessings from our beloved Earth Mother, with the world. 

     My interest in Wellness kept speaking to me so I continued my training and went into Thai Yoga Massage Training, in which I am now Level 1 Certified.  I really enjoyed learning this modality.  It involves breathing and stretching to release stagnant energy in the body.  Furthermore, it improves and balances the flow of energy throughout the body, and combines dynamic, assisted stretching influenced by Yoga with physical pressure applied along energy lines influenced by Chinese Acupuncture and Ayurveda.
