Hi, I’m Thom. I’m currently a counselor trainee completing my MS in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. Prior to joining Stella Luna, I worked as a transition coach, supporting clients through major life changes, including career transitions, adjustment to college, disability-related challenges, and periods of personal change.
My clinical interests include disability adjustment, identity development, and life transitions. My current graduate research focuses on creating systems that enhance access to higher education and workforce opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
My therapeutic approach is strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed, integrating cognitive, behavioral, and practical approaches. Ultimately, I believe meaningful change comes through both insight and action, particularly through developing systems and narratives that clients can carry into everyday life.
Outside of work, I enjoy writing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends whenever I can.
