This Privacy Policy applies to the online platforms, including the website and mobile application, linked to this Privacy Policy (“Services”) provided by Stella Luna Counseling and Wellness Center (“Stella Luna Counseling and Wellness Center,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This Privacy Policy applies to individually identifiable information you provide to us for purposes of obtaining medical care through the Services, also referred to as “Protected Health Information” (PHI), subject to our Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Notice of Privacy Practices (“HIPAA Notice”). This Privacy Policy supplements the HIPAA Notice for PHI. In case of conflict between this Privacy Policy and the HIPAA Notice, the HIPAA Notice will prevail. The HIPAA Notice does not cover information that is not PHI.

We implement security measures for PHI in line with HIPAA and use industry-standard protections for other information. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can have security absolutely guaranteed.

You may request to inspect, copy, change, or remove protected health information by sending us an email at info@stellalunatherapy.com. We will complete these requests in accordance with law.

Users may request information deletion and manage cookies and technology settings through their browser (E.g. Google Chrome) or device (E.g. Iphone). We do not share PHI for third-party marketing without consent.

You may report any us or any of our providers to their respective licensing board by filing a complaint at https://cswmft.ohio.gov/ or other applicable entity.

We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices linked through our Services.

7. Limiting Data Collection and Opt-Out

Users can opt out of interest-based advertising and manage preferences through web browser and device settings.

8. Text Messaging and SMS Communications

With your consent, we may use your phone number to send non-marketing, healthcare-related text messages, such as appointment reminders, treatment updates, and health information. You may opt out of receiving these text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply. We handle text messaging data with the same security measures applied to other types of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA requirements. SMS Consent or phone numbers are not shared for the purpose of SMS with third parties or affiliates.

9. International Users

Information is processed in the United States, subject to U.S. law, which may differ from other jurisdictions.

10. Children

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 without parental consent.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy
