I am passionate about working to connect with clients from all walks of life. I know how difficult finding a balance in work and home life can be, as I navigate being a wife to my supportive husband and a mother to an energetic child. With my clients I focus on providing a safe space for each individual to express and honor their voice to reconnect with authentic story and regain a better understanding of self with compassion.

I work with all ages from 13 and up, encountering clients from a variety of cultures and identities. I work with clients on a wide variety of life challenges including: trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, parenting, LGBTQ+ and challenges arising from minority stress, grief, navigating upsetting life circumstances.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Professional Art Therapist. My approach is a holistic, strength based, and trauma informed style with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing. When appropriate with clients who are open to creative expression, I find art therapy can often help in times when words fall short. I encourage mindfulness through the journey of healing with compassion to help guide and build self awareness with purpose. I apply an understanding of body-mind connection using somatic approaches of movement and Polyvagal Theory. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. In my nearly 18 years working in communities, including inpatient care within the Cleveland Clinic hospitals, I have been inspired by my clients’ resilience even in the very dark times, reaffirming that “The darkest nights produce the brightest of stars.”

I love spending time with my husband and daughter either cozying up at home, but also being active outdoors. I find swimming a huge stress reducer for me. I love witnessing my child grow and foster creativity with her, reminding myself it’s the small things in life that matter the most, like a good cup of coffee and a smile.

Life can overwhelm each of us with illness within the family, financial strain and feelings of disconnect in ourselves. I know that it takes courage to reach out and ask for help. I am honored to be there to help navigate this journey through life’s ups and downs.

“Our job is not to deny the story, but defy the ending—rise strong, recognize our story, and rumble with the truth until we get to a point where we think, ‘Yes, this is what happened. This is my truth. And I will choose how the story ends.’” — Brene Brown
