Camryn Smith (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Ohio University. As a queer-identified therapist, Camryn strives to create a warm, welcoming, and shame-free space where clients can feel comfortable showing up as their full, authentic selves.

Camryn works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, eating disorders, trauma, grief, gender, sexuality, and life transitions. She has extensive experience supporting LGBTQ+ and polyamorous clients and is committed to creating affirming, inclusive care that honors each person’s identity, relationships, and lived experiences. She also works with individuals who have experienced violence, abuse, or other overwhelming experiences, helping them build safety, self-trust, and a greater sense of control.

Camryn is EMDR-trained and draws from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches to tailor therapy to each client’s needs. She believes therapy works best as a collaborative process and works alongside clients to find what feels helpful, meaningful, and manageable at their own pace.

Her approach is warm, down-to-earth, and compassionate. Camryn practices from a feminist, strengths-based, and social justice–oriented lens, recognizing that our identities, relationships, and broader experiences can all shape our mental health. Above all, she wants clients to feel heard, respected, and accepted as they work toward greater self-understanding, connection, and meaningful change.
