John has a Bachelor’s in Communication from Cleveland State University and has made a career in child and adolescent mental health, working in residential, community, and day treatment settings in a variety of roles. He also has a rich work history which includes retail, performance, fitness/personal training, and construction.

John has also been training in Chinese Internal Arts – Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Qigong, and meditation – as well as other martial and energy arts, continuously since 1999, most of that time as an instructor. He has demonstrated all over Northeast Ohio in a rich diversity of events and has been a judge and head judge at tournaments. You might also have seen John as part of the OCA Greater Cleveland Dragon Dance Team.

Stella Luna is a good fit for John as it combines major themes and practices of his life: therapeutic care and wellness with an emphasis on mindfulness and energetic refinement. He has a long history of care for clients and students, as well as supervising physical spaces. John is passionate about serving to make the lives of his co-workers and those to whom he provides services better.

When it comes to teaching and personal training, John is dedicated to helping those he serves to get the most out of each session.  He brings in ideas from multiple modalities and examples to meet each person where they are in order to guide them to develop their own practice.  John works to take decades of practice, guidance, and research with a traditional focus and convert that practice into something that will be of greatest aid to each student.  These are tools that each person can use to exemplify well-being and personal development.
