About Bri
I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. My goal is to create a calm, warm, grounded space where you feel supported in exploring who you’ve been, who you are, and who you’re becoming. I approach each client with deep respect, authenticity, and acceptance, holding space for both the pain and the possibility.
My work is trauma-informed and person-centered, blending Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with somatic healing practices. I also believe in the powerful connection between mind and body as a foundation for meaningful, lasting change.
I am passionate about working with adults and teens experiencing:
- PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
- Identity exploration and life transitions
- LGBTQ+ issues
- Body image and self-esteem concerns
- Anger, shame, and emotional regulation
- Survivors of violence
I am currently completing my internship as part of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at John Carroll University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kent State University, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies.
Before beginning my clinical work, I spent six years as a Victim Advocate supporting survivors in both community and system based roles. These experiences profoundly shaped my approach, teaching me the power of presence, advocacy, and human resilience. Over time, I felt a strong pull toward deeper healing work; to help others not just survive, but truly reclaim themselves. Whether you’re in crisis, in transition, or seeking deeper self-understanding, my goal is to walk beside you—with empathy, openness, and care—as you take the journey of your life.
