I am a strong believer that sometimes we need other outlets for self-expression when words can’t describe the intricacies and complexities of our feelings, situations, and experiences.  That’s where I can offer you creative interventions to express the sides of yourself that are sometimes too difficult to do with just words.  Whether it’s through music, visual arts, or movement, I provide a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and creative space for you to process, reflect, and share however best serves you.  Growing up as a dancer, I am no stranger to the mind-body connection and storytelling through non-traditional outlets, thus leading me to pursue a Masters Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.  My hope is that I can offer you the same healing, freedom, and understanding that the creative arts have offered me.  Whether you want to talk, move, or create, I am confident we can work together to meet your goals and foster personal healing and growth.

Much of my work has been with children, adolescents, and young adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  I am passionate about this population and love to see their unique creativity come to life when given the space and tools to do so!  I have worked with clients in groups, hospitals, schools, and residential programs.  I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT),  and somatic-based therapies helping you develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and mindfulness practices to cope with depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior, suicidal thoughts, interpersonal conflict, low self-esteem, and/or life transitions.

You are in the driver’s seat of this journey and you hold the wheel in your hands.  We will work together towards healing, but ultimately I recognize you know yourself and/or your child best!  My goal and honor is to be on this journey with you, but you decided the route to take, making you the expert in your care!  I am open, patient, empathetic, and non-judgemental which I hope will make your or your loved one feel safe stepping into this journey with me!

We are a private counseling practice, and are working on paneling with insurances at this time. However, we cannot guarantee how long this process will take, or that we will surely be able to panel with your insurance due to the ebb and flow of enrollment. Some of our therapists are currently paneled with  insurances. You can see the updated insurances in each therapist bio, or contact our office for more updated information on where we are in the paneling process. For now, you may be able to utilize your out-of-network benefits for behavioral mental health if you have them. Click for more information and to learn more about this process. You are always welcome to private pay for therapy services. This is beneficial for many reasons, including limiting the amount of disclosure we have to provide to your insurance company about your treatment, and there is no limit to how many sessions you are able to access in a given year.
