Sometimes the challenges of life feel too difficult to manage on our own. The good news is, you don’t have to. Whether I work with you as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) or coach, I create a non-judgmental space for my clients to feel comfortable exploring their inner-most fears, challenges, and desires. A trusting connection with your therapist is essential to doing this life-enhancing work.

As a psychotherapist, I offer talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness training, breath-work, somatic processing, and group therapy. I’m also trained by MAPS in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, and offer preparation and integration sessions, as well as Ketamine Assisted Therapy at New Pathways Clinic in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. In addition to relationship and couples counseling, I specialize in treating the first responder community, medical professionals, veterans, and individuals who’ve experienced developmental and attachment-based trauma, C-PTSD, relationship trauma, emotional abuse, trauma bonding, sexual trauma, military sexual trauma, human sex trafficking, vicarious trauma, and trauma from suicide and extreme and unexpected loss.

It brings me great joy to support other therapists and wellness practitioners as a therapist and coach. I love public speaking on topics of wellness, trauma, mindfulness practices, and the benefits of holistic approaches to healing. I offer mindfulness-based workshops at corporate and community events, vibrational sound and energy sessions, and coaching for individuals interested in implementing higher consciousness practices, ascension work, and spiritual development.

We all desire to be heard, valued, and seen. Whether you work with me as a therapist, coach, or intuitive energy practitioner, I will hold space for you to explore the meaningful connections between past and current experiences, limiting beliefs, and current behaviors that are holding you back from being the most authentic version of yourself you’ve ever experienced.

Population: Adults with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief/loss, and substance use

I offer a personalized approach to treatment, collaborating and working with clients as they navigate self-discovery, healing, and growth. I believe the path to well-being looks different for each of us, and I empower clients to explore their values, core beliefs, goals, and unique self-healing practices to create a meaningful plan for an intentional life. I understand that change can be difficult, especially when a person is exhausted, unmotivated, or lacks the necessary skills – this is why I employ evidence-based practices to help clients transform thinking, increase motivation, build confidence, and improve self-efficacy. I help people mindfully access and maintain their own inner and outer resources to move beyond survival mode and into a fulfilling and thriving life.

I have clinical experience in mental health, forensic, holistic, and substance use treatment settings. I am currently accepting new clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, substance use, and post-traumatic stress. Because the healing journey can be transformative, I also empower clients to explore areas beyond the alleviation of symptoms, such as purpose, passions, and conscious self-creation. If you feel ready to reclaim your life, I would be honored to help you discover what healing could bring.

Populations: Specializing in Trauma, Pain experiences, Comorbid mental health, Substance use

I have worked with a broad range of individuals in community outpatient settings, and have specialties in medication/substance use, living trauma, psychopharmacological trajectories, Pain experiences, criminal justice advocacy, and comorbid mental health. My training and expertise focus on the narration and meaning making of addiction and mental health experiences. Through identification and processing of the narratives surrounding these experiences, I support change in those I am with.

Individuals that I work with can expect a therapeutic environment that is guided by both respect for their stories as well as sincere curiosity of where growth can and does occur. This often takes place within re-narration, self-identification work, and Pain processing throughout each session and along the full course of treatment.

Private Pay Cost:

  • $125 for Individual Therapy
  • $135 for Couples/Partner/Relationship Therapy

Accepted Insurances (as of 8/19/22): Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cigna (commercial ONLY), United Health Care (UHC), Ohio Medicaid, Medical Mutual of Ohio (MMO), Optum, United Behavioral Health, UMR, Oscar (Commercial Only)

I have worked with individuals and groups, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, to help clients re-examine their life stories by developing a perspective of self-compassion. I believe that challenging the thinking patterns which feed anxiety and depression–through written and spoken word–can be a revitalizing process. My goal is to foster an environment of trust and a foundation of breath-work: The oxygen that allows nascent creativity to spark. I am also trained in Part I of EMDR therapy and plan to become fully certified in the next year.

I was drawn to writing from childhood, and spent over twenty years as a writer and editor. But it was an introduction to yoga in my thirties that helped me begin to understand how becoming an observer of one’s experience, whether through writing, meditation or visualization, can create shifts from awareness into healing.

I have supported adults impacted by physical and mental health concerns, transitioning between stages of life and navigating parenting challenges. I believe exploration of identity and purpose, understanding the effects of trauma in self and others, and developing a sense of belonging can foster growth in every human being.  I received my BA from Amherst College and received training as a social worker at SUNY Binghamton and Cleveland State, graduating with an MSW in 2015.

Hello!

I am a somatically-oriented, trauma-focused, healing centered therapist who integrates many techniques into a holistic realignment process specifically designed for and with you. I offer EMDR, a somatically assisted, (miraculous) process employing your brain’s inherent capacity to mend its own neuralnetwork. I am trained in somatic internal family system (S-IFS) therapy, which helps us to tune into the internal “Parts” or self-states within, asking their permission to make contact; learning from them how to repair ruptured internal relationships; and ultimately realigning with True Self, the Compassionate Higher Consciousness. I find these two theories / processes to work hand in hand, both taking such care to gently mend trauma and stimulate neuralplasticity in the brain, without ever requiring one to be retraumatized by past events.

As an experienced-registered yoga teacher and founder of the YOUARELOVE Registered Yoga School, I offer yogic philosophy attunement, asana, breath, and meditation practices in subtle or more direct ways.

In breathwork, voicework, neurogenic tremoring, we can access profound emotional resilience and release trauma on a cellular level, thus restoring an organic, expansive contact with the breath and an empowering Voice. From Alexander Technique inspired processes to Solo Performance to Couples and Groups Expressive Arts therapy, we will welcome your deepest internal wisdom to communicate through the body, ushering it into release, realization, and revelation – ultimately accessing presence with Self and others – in the here and now.

And yes! We can totally just sit and talk. As a relational-cultural therapist, I consider the way we relate to one another to be a critical component of your healing arc. I am foundationally a Feminist Systems Therapist with a Social Justice / Trauma Healing focus, devoted to supporting those who experience systemic trauma/PTSD. I welcome all individuals, of all identities – importantly inclusive of those identifying as women; LGBTQIA+; BIPOC; AAPI; those with special abilities; immigrants and families of immigrants and refugees; those of all cultural, ethnic, religious, spiritual alignments, and all of life’s experiences.

Wherever you are in your path, and whomever you’re discovering you truly are, I’d be honored to meet you there, toward remembering…

YOUARELOVE.

Offering In-Person and Telehealth Sessions for Individuals (age 15+), and First Responder/Military Personnel.

I immigrated from Germany in 2013 and earned my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2016. I began my career in 2015 in a community mental health center in Savannah, GA. Due to my husband’s career in the US Army, our family had to relocate frequently. We returned to Cleveland the summer of 2022 and are looking forward to making this our forever home. I am eager to begin building a deep connection with this community.

My passion as a therapist is helping my clients resolve deeper problems hidden beneath the surface. I am passionate about exploring your story with you, at your own pace, with the strengths, insights, and spirituality that are important to you. Healing often does not look magical or pretty. It can be exhausting, difficult and painful. I will hold a safe space for you as you embark on your journey. Together we will create a treatment plan which will guide our collective journey to help you accomplish your goals.

My therapy style has a strong focus on EMDR which is not only utilized to treat trauma, but also self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, stress, anger management and even used to enhance performance. I also tend to favor person centered therapy and draw from CBT as well as DBT in my work.

I am registered with the EMDRIA institute and have been an EMDR trained therapist since 2019. I also completed advanced training in EMDR, including Attachment-Focused EMDR and Ego State Interventions. EMDR can be life changing. As a Certified Clinical Military Counselor, I am also proud to offer specialized services to the veteran population, law enforcement and first responders who face unique challenges.

In alignment with Stella Luna’s vision of incorporating wellness through holistic avenues, I recently completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training after practicing yoga in my personal life for the past 10 years. Though we carry emotional stress in our mind, it also has a way of permeating our physical bodies. Yoga is a mind-body approach with components of mindfulness, breathing and activities through postures which help us manage stress better and promote healing. I look forward to working with you.

Sam is trained in Part I of EMDR therapy and plans to become fully certified in the next year. She utilizes aspects of internal family systems therapy (IFS), trauma-informed therapy, and feminist theory in her integrative approach to counseling. Sam is certified in the Neurosequential Network’s Neurosequential Model in Education (NME), created by Bruce Perry, which provided her with in-depth training on early childhood trauma, the ways it impacts the developing brain, and how to work with youth on building new pathways for healing based on neuroscience. Sam’s graduate school research has also focused on bisexual erasure, and she presented her research at the 2021 All Ohio Counselor’s Conference. With a continual focus on understanding important aspects of holistic health and wellness, Sam incorporates her own inward practice of yoga, mantra meditation, yogic breath-work (Kriya), silent retreats and the mindful exploration of self and nature.

Sam obtained her master’s in public administration from Ohio University in 2013, and her bachelor’s in Human Ecology with the specialization of Human Development and Family Studies in 2008 from Ohio State University. Masters Degree – Art Therapy and Counseling

Accepting new clients

I believe we are all innately creative beings. Whether we are actively creating art or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years, all of us carry a spark of creativity within us that can be ignited anytime. The first time I took a ceramics class in college, I recognized that being creative not only made me feel more present and grounded, but it also shifted me into my right brain, increasing my clarity, insight, and problem-solving abilities. The therapeutic benefits of doing art led me to pursue my Master’s Degree in Art Therapy.

I am a credentialed Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials’ Board and received my Masters’ Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2013. In graduate school, I interned in a variety of settings, including a residential treatment center for teens, a domestic violence shelter, and an elementary school. I have experience working with a wide variety of populations but am specifically drawn to working with  children and adolescents. I am passionate about serving the younger population and I love witnessing how they find such sanctuary and self-expression through the creative process.

As an Art Therapist, I emphasize the creative process over the final art product. I combine traditional CBT and DBT techniques into art therapy sessions. I am a true believer in the healing power of creativity and I love creating safe and non-judgmental space for clients to engage in their own creative process. I believe that creativity has the capacity to elicit subconscious material and bring it to the surface of our awareness, allowing for deep healing and catharsis to occur.

As a registered yoga teacher, I am also a deep believer in the power of mindfulness and the somatic wisdom of the body. My own personal journey of growth has led me to explore and harness the healing power of yoga, meditation, the creative arts, and energy work in a myriad of ways that I am passionate about offering in the community. I am humbled and honored to do this work, and I would love to be a part of you and your family’s journey.

We are a private counseling practice, and are working on paneling with insurances at this time. However, we cannot guarantee how long this process will take, or that we will surely be able to panel with your insurance due to the ebb and flow of enrollment. Some of our therapists are currently paneled with  insurances. You can see the updated insurances in each therapist bio, or contact our office for more updated information on where we are in the paneling process. For now, you may be able to utilize your out-of-network benefits for behavioral mental health if you have them. Click for more information and to learn more about this process. You are always welcome to private pay for therapy services. This is beneficial for many reasons, including limiting the amount of disclosure we have to provide to your insurance company about your treatment, and there is no limit to how many sessions you are able to access in a given year.
